Raj feels stuck and un-appreciated in his lonely and mundane corporate job.

That is, until he’s given the opportunity to be the sort of hero he’s always admired.

Kansas City-based cinematographer, Levi Hintermeister, first met Harsh Gupta in March 2020, right before the coronavirus pandemic. At the time, Harsh was living in Kansas City. He shared feeling stuck in the routine of life, wanting to step out and try something new. The two decided to do a short film together. The underdog story, “Raj”, was born from that conversation.

In the following months, Harsh relocated to New York City, but he and Levi kept the dream alive. Levi worked on the script and reached out to fellow filmmaker, Hannah Rosalie Wright, to help direct the project.

In October 2020, Harsh traveled from NYC and Hannah from Iowa to begin 3 days of principal photography with Levi in Olathe, Kansas.
