In the summer of 2023, I had the honor of traveling for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University to visit three European study abroad programs, documenting their experiences. I had two cameras on me (one for video and one for stills) at all times, and conducted video interviews on location with the students.

Trieste was my first destination! The trip was amazing, but not without its setbacks — I missed my connecting flight to Trieste from Rome. Maneuvering in a foreign country was intimidating, but I was able to make my way to Trieste via a (6-hour, 2 transfers) train ride. I was exhausted, but it was a special opportunity to see a little more of Italy, albeit through a train window.
